Muscatine is a river town of almost 23,000 south and west of the Quad Cities. Discovery Park is Muscatine County's newest recreation area and is home to the Environmental Learning Center, the Muscatine Arboretum, and a beautiful pond with trails.
Muscatine is primarily located on a series of bluffs and hills at a major west-south bend on the Mississippi River. The river-bend gives the city roughly 260 degrees of riverfront. This view is coveted by homeowners along the city's bluffs.
